Half Day Sail in Dunmanus Bay
You will have exclusive use of our yachts and of our qualified skippers/instructors, who encourage active participation from those who want to or just simply relax and enjoy the cruise!
From our base in Ahakista on the half day sail we explore the coast of the Mizen and Sheep's Head peninsula's in Dunmanus Bay at close hand and enable you to observe the sea arches cut by wave action. When safe to do so, we sail close to Carbery Island and with luck spot seals at rest on the rocks. Were ever you look in Dunmanus Bay the views will be memorable.
The coast of West Cork is rich in sea life, so expect to be visited by the local dolphins and seals who are always curious and love to show off alongside sailing yachts.
Enjoy our home made soup & rolls which will be served during the cruise. You may also have tea, coffee & biscuits if you wish. As far as possible our products are sourced from local producers.
Half Day sailors just need to bring warm clothes, basic waterproofs, flat soft sole shoes/trainers, camera and sun tan cream! Safety gear is supplied.
